Tami Prather

Tami J. Prather, 37, of Camden, passed away at 10:37 AM, Monday, December 21, 2015, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born on February 15, 1978, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, in Rushville, the daughter of Larry and Dixie Lee (Wilson) Prather.

Surviving are her parents of Camden, one brother David Prather and friend Danielle Agans of Camden, grandparents Gene & LeIsle Prather of Huntsville, uncles and aunts Rick and Sandy Prather of Rushville, Mike Prather of Mt. Sterling and Roger and Lisa Prather of Mt. Sterling, nephew Nic Agans, nieces Shelby and Taylor Lung, and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ernest Wilson and Orpha and Roy Tweedt.

Tami graduated from Rushville High School in 1996.  She earned her Registered Radiologist degree through McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.  She worked as a Registered Radiology Technician for Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.  She also worked at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, where she participated in the accelerated program to receive her Registered Mammography Technician Certification.  She later worked for Quincy Medical Group in Quincy until she retired due to health issues.  She had also worked for the Littleton Café and tutored students.

She loved her cats and three dogs Cujo, Teddy and Bella.  She enjoyed being outdoors riding horses, mushrooming, fishing, deer hunting and tending flowers.  She also enjoyed embroidery, playing hearts, and baking cookies.  Her Facebook friends were very special to her.

Services will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, with Mr. David Haney officiating.  Interment will follow in the Palm Cemetery, west of Rushville.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville.  Memorials are suggested to the Schuyler County Humane Society or Culbertson Memorial Hospital Foundation for the X-Ray Department.
