Ronald Stambaugh

Ronald “Ronnie” Melvin Stambaugh, 77, of La Belle, Missouri and formerly of Schuyler County, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 2:50 pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at La Belle Manor in La Belle, Missouri.

He was born on January 23, 1948, in Beardstown, the son of the late Melvin R. & Irva L. (Lisenbee) Stambaugh. Ronnie attended and graduated from Brown County High School with the Class of 1966. He worked as a general laborer for many years in the area until his health forced him to cease working, including; Bohn Aluminum, Bill's Truck Wash and Sharkey Transportation in Beardstown.

Ronnie was a quiet but caring man and enjoyed visiting with people. He loved to attend church at the Southern Baptist Church of Beardstown for several years where he was also a member. He also found enjoyment going to square dances.

He is survived by his son; Corbin Stambaugh & Ronald Stambaugh Jr., a stepdaughter; Candy Kelly, a sister; Naomi Ann (Dave) Roush of Hurdland, Missouri, a brother; Joe C. (Cheri) Stambaugh of rural Versailles, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by daughter, Cindy Mangold.

Funeral services honoring Ronnie will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville. Bro. Matt Haberman will preside. Interment will follow at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contribution in memory of Ronnie are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
