Juanita Lee Harness,89, of Sutter passed away at 3:25 A.M. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the North Adams Home in Mendon.

Juanita was born on October 28, 1927 in Marcelline to the late Virgil and Edna (McCune) Featheringill. She married E. Dean Harness in November of 1950. Dean survives of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

Also surviving are; three children, Deanna (Gary) Starman of Quincy, Brent (Laura) Harness of Sutter, Susan Keck of Quincy; ten grandchildren, Shane (Patricia) Starman, Chris (Jackie) Starman, Drew Starman, Kip Starman, Joe Harness, Michelle (Pat) Martin, Craig (Katie) Harness, Amanda ( Fiance Travis Bradshaw) Keck, Austin Keck, Allison Keck; nine great-grandchildren; one  sister, Shirley Penn of Ursa and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rachel Harness and two sisters, Delma Jean Marsh and Mildred Smith.

Juanita was a member of the Lima Christian Church. She was very creative and loved to draw, sew and cook.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Crossing Church in Lima with Walt Wilcoxson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lima Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services in the church on Saturday, August 12, 2017. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the North Adams Home.
