James F. Crenshaw, 68, of Rushville and formerly of Bader, passed away at 11:35 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his home.
He was born on July 8, 1955 in Bader, the son of the late Denver & Verona (Hendricks) Crenshaw. He was married to the late Barbara Koepp in 1978 in Bader. To this union, four children were born, Chuck, Kelly, Jeremy & Jimmy.
Jim worked for much of his life as a farmer; many of those years were spent working for Wayne Bollinger. He was a volunteer fireman with the Browning Fire Department for many years. Jim enjoyed many outdoor activities, including; hunting, fishing, mushroom & ginseng hunting and finding arrowheads. He was also fond of classic cars, especially muscle cars.
He is survived by his sons; Chuck Crenshaw of Texas, Jeremy Crenshaw of Rushville & Jimmy (Beverly) Crenshaw of Astoria and by a daughter; Kelly (Ray) Lisenbee of Rushville. Five grandchildren; Kole, Brandon, Casey, Gavin, Charles and Carison, nine great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and former wife, Jim was preceded in death by a grandson; Kaleb and by two brothers; Raymond & Bill.
In accordance with Jim’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will take place at Bader Cemetery at a future date. The Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville has been entrusted with the care and arrangements. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim are suggested to the family.
