Harold “Junior” Forman, 96, of Rushville, Illinois passed away Monday, January 2, at his home in Rushville. He was born November 10, 1926, the son of Clifford and Celeste Drye Forman. He married Elizabeth Mae Dace who preceded him in death on June 26, 2015. Junior married Merle Lloyd Shoemaker. Merle survives in Rushville, Illinois.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his son, Philip (Norma) Forman, a daughter Martha Jane Curry two stepdaughters: Janiece Galloway of Macomb, Illinois, and Leslie (Mark) Carmack. Junior has six grandchildren Tim, Rick, Angie and Michael, Forman and Brad and Joe Curry, Eight great grandchildren McKenze, Madison, Malachi, Layla, Austin, Shelby, Nathan, and Mason.
He was preceded in death by his son David Forman, and first wife Elizabeth.
He was a lifelong farmer. Junior played guitar in a country music band “Carefree and Country”. He played by ear and did not need music. Harold would leave before seven am, regardless of the weather, every morning to have coffee with Philip, and strategize the morning responsibilities.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on January 6th at Bethany Cemetery with Rev. Rob Kirkham officiating.
