MENDON, Ill. -- Harold Frederick Henze, 96, of the North Adams Home, Mendon, formerly of Quincy, died Monday (Dec. 29, 2014) in Blessing Hospital, Quincy.

Harold was born on Nov. 15, 1918, in Ewing, Mo., to the late Fred Christopher and Beulah Elizabeth (Murfin) Henze. He married Ruth Eleanor Cramsey on Nov. 12, 1938, in Fort Madison, Iowa. Ruth survives of the North Adams Home.

Harold served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed bowling and watching the Quincy High School Blue Devils.

Surviving are two children, Harold Eugene (Carole) Henze of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Patricia Rieck of Geneseo; nine grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Clifford and Carl Henze; one stepbrother, Arthur Henze; and one stepsister, Vera Ellis.
