Dorothy Pryor

d. September 30, 1925

Jean Pryor's life was a journey well lived.

She was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Kinderhook. She attended high school in Barry where she met and married William Russell "Spark" Pryor. The couple spent most of their 70 year marriage in Illinois but also enjoyed winters in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Jean and Spark were lifelong members of Central Baptist Church. Jean later resided at Curtis Creek and Sunset Apartment communities. Jean was famous for her peanut brittle, peanut butter crunchies and homemade egg noodles. She had an endless zest for life, shopping, cooking, sewing and dressing up in colorful, bedazzled clothes. Most of all she loved attention and was surrounded by loving friends, family and caregivers.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Jeana (William) Theobald and Tamara Pryor (Don Gunn); five grandchildren, Tonya (Russell) Ball, Tyler (Monica) Theobald, Kamden and Brogan Turner and Jeffrey Akright; and her 10 great-grandchildren.
