Christine Stuart

Christine Stuart, 84, of Quincy, passed away at 6:12 AM, Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden.

She was born on December 23, 1936, in New Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Sylvia (Hughes) Sims.  She married Reverend Dick Stuart on April 3, 1960 at the Central Baptist Church in Quincy and he survives

Also surviving are a daughter Tamara Radecki of Quincy, two grandsons Michael Radecki of Quincy and Jason Radecki and wife Angela of Colmar, one sister June Anderson and husband Warren of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

A 1955 graduate of Quincy High School, she was a runner-up for Miss Quincy. She attended beauty school in Chicago for one year.  In 1968, she and her husband moved to Alta Loma, California where they pastored at The Lord’s House.  They also founded Lighthouse Ministries, that offers musical cds and books.  She wrote and recorded many Christian songs.  In 2004, they returned to Quincy and founded Harvesttime Church in Monroe City, Missouri.  They hosted the television show Path of Life on WTJR for 5 years, along with her daughter and grandsons.  She was a Prayer Warrior and was instrumental in changing many lives.

Christine enjoyed doing charcoal drawings, playing the piano and singing.  Her family held a special place in her heart.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held.  Entombment was in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum.  Memorials are suggested to the Golden Good Shepherd Home.   The Hunter Funeral Home in Golden has been entrusted to care for Christine and her family.
