GOLDEN, Ill. -- Beverly Lorraine Taylor, 74, of Golden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:23 a.m. Friday (July 10, 2009) in Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Beverly was born on June 15, 1935, in Chicago. She was the daughter of James and Emma (Chesney) Lawton. She married Norman Taylor on April 28, 1956, in Chicago. Beverly was an underwriter for Camp Point Mutual Insurance Co. for 20 years. She was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point, where she was a member of the Sunshine committee and the Ladies Bible Study. She enjoyed hosting dinners at her home and especially loved her family. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Norm, of Golden; four children, Karyn St. Amand of Burton, Mich., Don Taylor and his wife, Terri, of Camp Point, Janice Stupka and her husband, Mark, of Ankeny, Iowa, and Pastor Jerry Taylor and his wife, Donna, of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren, Keith Jr. "Ricky," Kameron, Kordell, and Krystina St. Amand, Brandon and Kelsey Taylor, Bethany Gittins and her husband, Joseph, Andrew, Tiffany and Nathan Stupka, and Kassandra, Lorraine, Kaitlin, Ashlan, and Clara Taylor; one great-grandchild, Kaden Benson; one brother, James Lawton and his wife, Jewel, of Paducah, Ky.; and three sisters, Charlene Rompasky of Chicago, Betty Miller of Cedar Park, Texas, and Bea Fisher of Charlotte, Fla. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Kraig St. Amand. SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, in Faith Baptist Church near Camp Point, with Pastor Tom Robbins and Pastor Jerry Taylor conducting. Burial will be in Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden. VISITATION: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009, in Faith Baptist Church near Camp Point and from 10 a.m. until the services on Monday, July 13, 2009, in the church. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church. ARRANGEMENTS: The Hunter Funeral Home in Golden has been entrusted with the arrangements.
