Beverly Jean Hillman, 72, of Camden, passed away at 5:30 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her home in Camden.
She was born on April 11, 1953, in Macomb, the daughter of the late Virgil & Leona (Agans) Stolp. Beverly married Wayne Hillman on April 19, 1970, at the United Methodist Church of Bushnell. Wayne survives.
Beverly worked as a nurse for many years at the Marigold Nursing Home in Galesburg until her retirement in 2000. She loved to be outdoors and liked to partake in fishing, camping, Spoon River drives, yard sales and planting flowers in her gardens. Beverly also enjoyed drinking coffee and watching Gunsmoke on television. She was a loving person and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, Wayne, Beverly is survived by her son; Dan (Frankie Stivers) Hillman of Camden, two daughters; Becky (Alan) Combites of Avon & Julie Gilson of Camden, six grandchildren; Justin Hillman, Tamra (Matt) Donarski & Logan Benge. Kayla, Kassie & Kimberly Combites, six great grandchildren; Clinton, Kora, Alainah, Adilynn, Aubri & Lucy. Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother; George Stolp and by her son in-law; John Gilson.
Graveside services honoring Beverly’s life will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Camden West Cemetery. Rev. Dan Wise will preside. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:30 am at the Triplett & Wood Funeral Home of Rushville. Memorial contributions in memory of Beverly are suggested to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
